Route du Vin in the Alsace region of France is one of the most unforgettable scenic drives of a lifetime. But this private tour is a delight for all of the senses, taking you on a tasting journey through several of the region’s premiere wineries.
Just 30 minutes south of Strasbourg lies the medieval town of Obernai, the gateway to the finest stretch of Alsace’s Route du Vin. This is the starting point for our exploration.
In Obernai, we will visit the Robert Blank Winery, where we will sample some of Alsace’s most classic wine varieties and visit a wine barrel that dates back before the French Revolution.
Setting off, we will drive through a portion of the Route du Vin, stopping at some of the finest wineries along the way, including Domaine Hering and Trimbach. Here we will sample generous portions of some of the 54 varieties of Grand Cru for which the region is famous. You will also have the opportunity to explore the many charming villages along the route.
